G2nd Systems

Global Workplace Communication with Measurable Results.

About Us

G2nd Systems® (Intercultural English Global HR Consultants) is a technology-based research and development organization focused on business communication, competency assessments, and instructional design in workplace effectiveness and business sustainability contexts. We develop linguistic competence (including accent clarity) and intercultural intelligence across multiple cultures at the same time, and significantly increase the efficacy of Customer Relationship Management to meet the needs of globally growing organizations.

Intercultural English & Global HR Consultants

Since no other organization was dedicated to addressing the performance challenges specifically resulting from the convergence of non-native and native English speakers from different countries in global workplaces (interacting directly or virtually), Lorelei Carobolante, creator of GSL® Intercultural English™, founded the company in 2003 and developed the Global Second Language® educational infrastructure. GSL English™ is a series of accelerated learning programs that focuses on what really matters for sustainable business performance and collaborative innovation.

Our instructional design philosophy incorporates proprietary competency assessments and curricula to ameliorate interpersonal communication skills and accelerate the development of leadership, collaboration and a global mindset.

Our Customers are globally-focused. We enable highly skilled non-native and native English speakers from different countries to actively engage and contribute their expertise to the organization, fostering innovation. We develop professionals at all levels to effectively interact in multicultural environments, thus acquiring global leadership skills and establishing excellent customer relationships.

Our Expertise

  • Global HR consulting
  • Accent clarity & intercultural communication
  • Situational collaborative leadership
  • Workplace English proficiency assessments

The Global Second Language Approach

“The development of these methodologies has its origins in the experience gained through the company that I founded 18 years ago. It was devoted to workforce mobility management and the integration of managers and other professionals in non-home country environments. Working with people involved in all aspects of their company’s growth, transitioning from international to multinational to global, we witnessed something incredible: the first phase of today’s Globalization, enabled by technology infrastructure and new business models. The current, second phase is much more challenging because efficiency and operational effectiveness depend on collaboration across multiple cultures at the same time, with English language as the primary communication conduit. As all business is developing globally and borders have disappeared, every organization has to leverage talents, expertise, creativity, and contacts from multiple geographical areas, multiple cultures, and multiple languages.

“English may be the language of business but non-native and native English speakers from different countries use English differently— often without realizing it. We come in daily contact with people that are from different backgrounds than our own.

“Our productivity and the success of our endeavors rely more and more on the effectiveness of these interactions, and our ability to leverage all of this knowledge, contacts and resources—a synergistic, result-oriented collaboration. The Global Second Language approach utilizes culturally neutral communication and strategic thinking (supported by a global mindset), which leverages the benefits of diversity and inclusion, measurably improving business results.” —Lorelei Carobolante

“Our expertise centers on global  HR research and development, linguistic competence and intercultural intelligence.”
