Each year, the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) awards 14 women-owned business enterprises (WBEs) with their highest honor, the WBE Star award. One business from each regional partner organization (RPO) is selected based on their exemplary leadership and innovative business solutions. The 2012 list of WBE Stars was announced recently and include the following:

All of these business owners will be honored at the Summit portion of the Summit and Salute event, held at the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront on March 22, 2012. This year’s theme is Celebrating 15 Years: Vision, Opportunities, and Success! and will include over 1,000 corporate executives, WBEs and government and nonprofit representatives.Last year, MBEConnect featured all 14 of the 2011 WBENC WBE Stars in the inaugural issue of MBEConnect Profiles magazine, which was distributed at the Summit and Salute event.
