Working in the insurance industry for over 12 years, Noemi Jurado has come to really know the business. She recently opened up her own agency with Farmers in April 2011. Her goals are to over exceed in her customer service and to make insurance buying as painless as possible. She plans on continuing her education in the industry and soon provide financial services. Noemi is a bilingual agent and works closely with the Hispanic community and tries to involve herself in programs geared to educate our future generation.

Charitable Giving

Farmers is the number two contributor to the March of Dimes, raising nearly $25 million over the past two decades through March for Babies participation and the creation of our own “Be a Hero for Babies Day” where agents, district manager and employees take community fund-raising to the next level. We also fund hundreds of organizations in our agents’ local communities. Agents who are involved with Little League, Habitat for Humanity or the American Cancer Society, to name a few, partner with Farmers to help make a financial contribution to the charities they feel so strongly about.

Educational Materials

Junior High and High School students benefit from Farmers through award-winning lesson plans and historical documentaries, such as Freedom’s Song, a documentary highlighting significant milestones in the history of the African-American experience during the past century. It includes living testimonials designed to put a personal face on the actual historical events featured in the film.

High School Sports

Farmers partners with 17 high school athletic associations nationwide, filling the gap left by budget cuts, to support all high school sports in big cities and rural communities. In several states, aside from sponsoring games and playoffs, Farmers has created academic-athletic scholarships recognizing the accomplishments of high school athletes on the field, in the classroom and in their communities.

Farmers, along with Fox Sports, created the “Farmers Student Athlete Citizen Award” a community award recognizing athletes performing outstanding work in their community. This award is presented on Fox Sports and their affiliate stations. The award demonstrates no matter what level of athlete you are, it’s how you give back and help others that truly demonstrate success.

Volunteer Program

In addition to financial support, Farmers people volunteer their time, talent and skills in their communities. Our volunteer program, Partners in Pride, tallies hundreds of thousands of hours from the more than 30,000 Farmers agents, employees and retirees around the country.
