Kentucky Offers Women in Construction Training Program

Here’s a great training opportunity for women entrepreneurs in the state of Kentucky.

The Women’s Business Center of Kentucky will offer a six-week long training program for women in the construction industry. Specifically, this course is designed to benefit women looking to run their own construction business and compete for government contracts.

It is intended to help bridge the shortage of women-owned construction firms in the Louisville area. There are a number of existing and forthcoming contracts open for bids.

This program begins on January 25, 2012 in Louisville. Registration and costs only $25 for the entire course. Registration can be completed through Women’s Business Center director Ruth Johnson at (502) 566-6076 or via e-mail at rdainels@cvcky.org.

Read more about this program at the Louisville Business Journal.
