The MBEConnect team is excited to attend the Reservation Economic Summit (RES), which begins Monday, February 27 in Las Vegas. This is the premier event of the National Center for American Indian Economic Development (NCAIED). RES is the largest and longest-running event solely dedicated to the promotion of America Indian business development and one of the biggest supplier diversity events of the year.
RES presents ample opportunities for networking and business transactions with American Indian and Indigenous Entrepreneurs, tribal entrepreneurs, tribal representatives, corporations and government agencies. Over 3,000 attendees will experience a two-day long trade fair with more than 400 presenters, Artisan Market place, Procurement Pavilion, internet cafe, networking receptions, compelling keynote speakers.
Another key highlight is the structured series of more than 24 workshops with highly knowledgeable moderators and guests to truly prepare American Indian enterprises to do business with other Native business, as well as corporations and government agencies. These workshops are divided among six focused tracks, which include government policy, non-profit and law; energy; construction; entertainment and sports; and international trade. There is also a special session on the Office of Indian Energy and Economic Development (IEED), called “Making the Pitch!”, which is the event’s first-ever Tribal business presentation contest involving 15 selected tribal businesses. It will be emceed by recently-appointed NCAIED President and CEO Gary Litefoot Davis.
