The United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC) recently hosted its 22nd Annual Legislative Summit in Washington, DC. The Summit offered guests – chamber members, Hispanic business leaders and corporate partners – networking events, workshops and roundtable discussions, as well as procurement matchmaking sessions with Federal Agencies and the opportunity to meet with Congressional representatives on Capitol Hill.
At the Breakfast on the Hill, the USHCC presented Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison (R-TX) with the Lifetime Achievement Award. Anna Maria Chávez, CEO of Girls Scouts of the USA, was presented with the Chairman’s Award at the Legislative Awards Dinner & Gala, A Celebration of Women Entrepreneurship in America.
Attended by many leading government officials and business figures, including Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, Deputy Secretary of the Treasury Neal Wolin, and MoneyGram CEO Pam Patsley, the Legislative Summit received media coverage in top outlets such as the Wall Street Journal, Politico, NBC, Bloomberg and CNN.
